Lighthouse Struga

Struga lighthouse is located in Skrivena luka. It is 7 kilometers away from the settlement of Lastovo, and 17 kilometers away from the ferry port in Ubli. The lighthouse was built in 1839 on a cape of the same name, and it is the second-oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic. It has a 20-meter high cylindrical tower located at 104 meters above sea level. With its 222 square meters, the lighthouse building includes four suites (two one-bedroom suites and two single-room suites), each with a large kitchen, dining area and bathroom. The lighthouse is equipped with heating, and visits are possible outside of the peak season as well.
Due to its distance from the coast, the lighthouse is a lone presence, as if immersed in blue sky and open sea. Located at the very edge of a steep cliff, it offers amazing view of the open sea. Light from the Struga lighthouse can be seen from the distance of 20 nautical miles, warning vessels that they are approaching Lastovo. The impressive cliff is home to gorgonian coral colonies in its depths. Incredible vistas and simple access to the sea through pine forest to the north of the lighthouse make this site an attractive tourist destination.
