Welcome to one of the darkest night skies in Europe!
The Lastovo Islands boasts an exceptionally well-preserved night sky, where the stars appear almost within reach. Thanks to extremely low levels of light pollution, you can experience a sky that has become a true rarity – filled with thousands of stars.
As part of our expert night tours, we organize stargazing sessions 2 to 3 times a week from Hum – the highest peak on Lastovo – or from other suitable locations offering spectacular panoramic views and ideal conditions for astronomical observation.
The tour includes:
- Stargazing with explanations using a laser pointer
- Observation of celestial objects through a telescope
- Education on the impact of light pollution on nature – especially on sensitive plant and animal species
The Lastovo Archipelago is a candidate for designation as a Dark Sky Park, a status awarded by DarkSky International to parks that stand out for their high-quality night environment and active efforts to protect darkness.
Details on tour dates (time, date, and location) are regularly posted on our social media – follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
Note: Nights on Lastovo can be chilly, so we recommend bringing long-sleeved clothing to enjoy stargazing in comfort.
Join us for this unique experience and discover what a real night feels like – quiet, dark, and full of stars.
